MARULA began her professional / artistic career developing projects at the Electrographic & Multimedia International Museum (MIDE) in Spain after completing her Ph.D. in Multimedia (Fine Arts) and Master’s degree in Multimedia Products. Since then she has been involved in a myriad of tech festivals worldwide while also organizing monthly audiovisual programmes and workshops in her native Spain and across Europe. She co-founded the collective TIRITA in 2005: an artistic project bringing together design, web, video and graffiti.
It wasn’t until 2006 that MARULA began experimenting with Live Video and VJ performances, but since then she has exploded onto this scene as one of the most exciting and innovative up-and-coming VJs around. To date she has worked with Toyota and Samsung, VJing at several of their global product launches.
Improvisation is the hallmark of MARULA’s veejing, using intuition to find artistic inspiration and direction. She captures reality, creating her subjective environment through her video mixes, to produce a real-time audiovisual narrative at each live session.

MARULA flits between Barcelona and Beijing, working on a range of projects with both
DELACREW and SCIENCE of SOUNDS (SOS), as well as her roles as art director, motion director
and VJ.
