Beginning…Jaume Pagès is Jaumëtic and Phil Link: musician, dj and manager of the labels Regular, Irregular and Technostalgia. Hiper-active element of the Barcelona electronic scene and musician/producer with a wide field of view on the music scene.

Beginning ….As dj, Jaumëtic begins his journey in 1992. Arrived in 1995 and seduced by the sound from Detroit, his sessions are more oriented towards electronic parameters. Besides being in the public eye with the favorite tracks always being synthetic (minimal house, tech-house, groovie techno, electro) he also makes some transitions into other styles that are more trancy, however meanwhile always showing the viable and funniest face of his pleasures as well as his eclectic point of view about the music.

Around the world….His sets have been tasted; even on the other side of the pond thanks to tours that take him periodically to the United States (New York and Boston) and South America (Argentina, Chile, Venezuela and Colombia). In October 2005 V.J.Videotone acted along in the distant city of Seoul, South Korea making the sample “Design Play”.

In Europe he is regularly present in the most representative clubs of cities like: Berlin, Cologne, Munich, London, Paris, Lyon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Zurich, Lisbon, Milan etc etc.

At the moment he is resident of Fellini Club in Barcelona and Danzoo in Madrid and is a usual artist in the program of festivals like Sonar (2002-2004-2005)

MUSICIAN

After several experiences in bands during the 90´s, playing electronic pop, techno, electro or hip-hop, Jaumëtic focused his productions on electronic dance music with absolute dedication.

At the moment, the most important facet in the productions of Jaume Pagès, is those that operate under the name of Jaumëtic, his creations were more oriented towards the essence of Regular, that is to say electronic forms with groovie structures and an emotional touch whom he gives to all his productions. This is not Minimal, this is not Techno. It is its own distinctive style of electronic music with his personality added.

It is also under this persona that he has published a diverse reference on his own labels (Regular & Technostalgia) or on other labels like Ware, Software, Pulsewith, Tunningspork, Galaktika, Deep explorer, Discos de Lata or MSX.

On the album/CD-mix format the figure of Jaume consolidated as dj all over Europe after the launch of the CD-mix “My friends Regular and I” in 2004, a great example of the present label situation, and a great mix with fantastic reviews in the best European magazines like Groove, De-Bug, Trax or DJ Mag.

In his last works, the insatiable necessity to explore new ways has made him sing in different tracks, his own as well as other collaborations like “Nada” from Swat squad (Software 03), Ziga zaga (Regular 019) or “Miamibi” (Regular 011).

Phil Link
Earth, Wind and Firewire is another alter-ego that remains in the firing chamber and than Jaume also develops as Phil Link. As Phil Link, he gives loose rein to his more intimate reflections, giving form to the most personal and experimental compositions without staying in certain styles or pre-established forms. His live acts, alone or with Videotone from Earth, Wind and firewire, are exercises of improvisation and spontaneous work trying to transmit and to create an atmosphere different in each one of Phil Link’s shows. Phil Link has acted in the festival Sonar 2006 and other media festivals and venues all over Europe…
